The signals - so far

Here are a list of 18 signals completed to date with pictures.

Signals can be placed on either side of track as required. Although Victorian practice is loathe to place signals on the right hand side if it can avoid it. You'll notice that the platforms are not centred and as per prototype favour the side away from the track.

Completed Medium Speed Home Signals with 65km/h indication.

Normally under Victorian practice, red over green would normally indicate "Clear Medium Speed" and indicate a 40km/h situation, usually a diverge. In some places this can be over ridden to 65km/h where indicated.

The basis for signals

The base model for the first set of signals has been created and tested. All looking good so far. I've base these on the types of signals local to me between St. Albans & Sydenham on the Bendigo line. This line was electrified in late 2001 with the opening of the extension to Watergardens on Friday, 25th January 2002.
